Whilst packages will invariably be competitively price due to the vast number of users, they are often highly sophisticated as the development budget is commensurate with the revenues from a wide user base. The commoditised nature of the product also means that there is minimal competitive advantage to be derived from the application as, it will also be widely available throughout the market.

Bespoke Software:

The application will have been specifically designed and tailored to your particular requirements. It can be customized to interface with other software currently being operated and therefore, the ability to have a fully integrated IT infrastructure across the organisation exists. The user experience is one of relevance and efficiency and incorporates business processes that are specific to you and your organisation that are not found in Proprietary solutions. Most importantly the flexibility afforded by Bespoke software means that the applications can evolve as your requirements and business practices change. Competitive advantage is the motivating factor for initiating a bespoke programme.
